As silicon and oxygen are easy to synthesize silica, ferro silicon is often used as deoxidizer in steel making. The appearance of Ferro Silicon is the grey lumpish solid. It has very great stablities and does not take place any chemical reaction in the dry air. The melting point is 1290-1340 for Ferro Silicon, with Si content 72-80%. Ferro silicon is used extensively in the steel-making, casting non-ferrous metals and other industrial.
